With a new year, and new beginnings, it's only best that i should introduce myself. The creator of the Perauverse. I am. Perau.

If you missed it, i'm a total NERD. (refer to link for my awesome definiton of nerd)

I enjoy good television, i still watch cartoons but none of that new age rubbish nowadays, only classic good stuff like justice league, batman, transformers (not the animated or armada for that matter juts the 80s classic). And am i sucker for collectible toys especially heroclix, gunpla and transformers.

I study Engineering. It's good fun. If you're considering it please don't hesitate to ask me.

Let's see. when it comes to alliances. I'm a DC comic, Decepticon, that's all i can think of so far.

I enjoy playing games, tabletop, card games, ps2,ps3, computer, any console i'll love it!

Religiously i'm a Roman Catholic.

I'm a domokun and a batman fan. Those are some other things i enjoy collecting as well.

OH. i'm not single. In fact i have the most wonderful girlfriend in the world.

Nerd Factor

As a new millinea dawns, we come to see more and more people going back to the classics, just as aviator shades. What has been a pretty big hit is, the Nerd Factor. Everybody wants to be a nerd nowadays. Being a legitimate nerd though, i find it pretty annoying at times. You see tons of people dressing up like a nerd, batman and transformer shirts, nerd glasses. Tell tale signs of nerdiness. But most of those people know jack squat about being a nerd.

I mean ask anyone who wears a batman shirt, if they know how batman died (in reference to the comic arch batman rip not "the man who broke the bat" which some people can argue was the spiritual death of batman) or if they know who the current batman is. Most of them probably cant even answer those two. But thats okay given that it's still quite recent events in the dcu (DC universe, if you didnt understand that, you're probably not a nerd) BUT if you ask them to name the first robin and they can't answer it's Dick Grayson, we're going to have a problem.

So what does seperate the Nerds from the wannabes?

Welcome to Perau's guide to be a full on nerd!

1. first and for-most, you have to be studying something science or IT related, which has lots of specialized words, and you have to speak lots of jargon. Such fields include, maths, engineering, IT, biotech, medicine..etc. the list goes on.

2. You have to have a bunch of nerdy shirts, examples are like of below! (my decepticon soundwave and green lantern shirt)

3. You have to own a collection of toys. (I don't really have a self to put all this stuff, and since most are in storage, i just compiled some examples, I've got heroclix, transformers and gundam there)

4. You need to of course, follow some nerdy tv program. Back in the days they had transformers (the 80s version), star trek, and all sorts of other stuff. These days we're much more privileged with awesome DC comic and Marvel cartoons, justice league, avengers. And not to mention other tv series, smallville, human target. Anything related to comics, space, robots, aliens, whatever! Animes count, but it has to be nerd animes like gundam.

5. Whats a nerd without his comics? you obviously need to read at least one continuity. That shouldn't be much a problem. Its just one. You got like tons to choose from. mind you i have over 2000 comic books on my PC.

If you fulfill 1,2,3,4,5 You at least meet the requirement to be able to become a nerd. But thats the easy part. To really be full-on, you have to

6. Know what a skrull is

7. Play a nerdy card game (magic, pokemon, yu-gi-oh..) or table top games, (dungeons and dragons, star wars miniatures, heroclix, warhammer)

8. Know who is in the DCU trinity

9. Own a transformer toy

10. Join an online forum

11. Questioned certain casting of actors potraying superheros

12. Know that batman and spiderman do not come from the same universe

13. Wish you were a superhero

If you meet all those ! ( i think i was being lax) You're well on your way to be a nerd.

and know you know.

my secret fat cat

back in my house.
we have a cat.
a fat white cat.
it's not really our cat.
it's just a cat that hangs around our land. a lot. probably never leaves it.
my mom feeds the cat.
and even has one of those pet food saucers thingy.
something that looks like these



anyway. the cat is fluffy and white. and it's kinda fat.
my sister gave it the adoptive name "fluffy". but i reckon that's just a nicer way of saying fatty. so i just directly call it by it's proper name. "fatty"

since the cat isn't really ours. it's not groomed or cleaned. so it's got really dirty fur. and apparently the other cats don't like him/her (not sure) so they attack him/her a lot. so the cat's always got like this blood stain.

anyway. if you are finding it hard to imagine, it looks pretty much like the picture below. probably not as fat. but dirtier skin.



well. one thing about this cat. i reckon it doesn't like me.
i tried to feed it once. and it scratched me! grr. stupid neko.
btw. neko is cat in japanese. some useful info! but it's generally used also for catgirls.

my secret prayer

I think, what a lot of Christians need to pray more. prayer is very powerful.
and God listens, he really does. :) and trust in what he does. he truly knows what is best for us.

true story, it happened to me.
As a young Catholic, i think the most hardest thing is to fight off temptation, as temptation is everywhere around us. temptation might as well change it's name to "university life".

But what is important is we need to find people from that university. other Catholics. so that you know you're not alone. that is really important. as a priest told me just the other day. yesterday, for that matter. build your faith together.

just the other day. while i was praying. something truly amazing happened. too amazing to be coincidental.

in essences, i was praying for God to guide my life. after praying, i proceeded to finding my rosary, and once i found it i wanted to hang it on top of my bed. but what happened was, the rosary fell behind my bed :(
it was a bit troubling to get it out. i had to move the bed. my hands weren't long enough. so i had to use a pen. but point aside.

i found many other stuff behind my bed. stuff the previous tenant left behind, a picture, an envelope, and a postcard. i'm not sure why. but i went on to reading that postcard. at the end of the postcard was a scripture.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in Him with all your heart,
acknowledge Him in all your ways,
and He will guide your paths.

i have to admit. i was truly in awe at that moment when i read it.
God listens to us. he truly does.
so i encourage all of you. in time of doubt, fear, need, sadness, happiness, whatsoever

my secret writers block

if you noticed. probably no one. since no one reads this.
i haven't been updating my blog recently. why?
probably because i have had a writers block.
haha. i don't know what to blog about.
so instead of wasting time on thinkin what to blog about. i'll just blog about the fact i had a writers block. it's no fun. when you're not blogging.

well probably because my classes started and that i'm doing LDR, i've been a little distracted.

also my favourite anime to watch. keroro gunso. i can only find episodes till 151. T____T if anyone has a website to direct me to. please do. but not veoh. anything but veoh. i dont want to support a website that doesn't offer it's services to asia. maybe i'll blog about my LDR. or my webcam dates. if you can call them dates.

well i've got a really good gunpla to blog about! but it's going to talk a real lot of time to blog about it. i should start writing series reviews. i think. that would be good.
or maybe i should clean up my room. total mess. haha.

well i guess i do have things to do.
but im just lazy? well. time to be less lazy then.
well classes start in about an hour. so means i probably have to do something.
today i'm going to bring a schoolbag. empty though. but my friends have be complaining i look so "slumber" i dont bring anything to classes.

my secret health issue

so. this all started one morning. when i chose to ignore the expiry date of my egg.
thinkin it's edible. but that night. when i boiled the 2nd egg. note i put the first one in my maggi mee. then i noticed the 2nd egg didnt sink. and stayed afloat.
i got worried. i googled up floatin eggs. floating eggs = rotten eggs.
then i googled up what happens if you eat rotten eggs. and mostly it's like vomiting diorhhea. things of that sort. then suddenly got one person say. its bad
it gives you....

SALMONELLA!

aaaaahhhh

i got damn scared and started searchin salmonella up.
after a long search. most cases isn't life threatening. its basically. food poisioning. just a fancy name. they know how to scare you abit with that long terms.

but anyway just to be take a precaution i wanted to go see the clinic on campus. but. it's closed on saturdays. sundays. and public holidays for that matter. so is every other clinic. then i was. hmm. ok la. go pharmacy on the way to grocery shopping.
and guess what.
CLOSED.

whaaaaaaaaaaat la. whats with this country (Australia), it happens to seem like bacteria, virus, all other infections or health related issues take a break on saturday, sunday and public holidays. how convenient that no one will get sick during those days. and probably people already sick won't be sick for those 2 short weekend days and automatically fall sick back on monday.

note. hint of sarcasm.

oh. also. i slammed my thumb into a cupboard. so i got a bleeding thumb.

my secret home country

this past 3 months. didn't really feel like a holiday.
all i did was work. and on top of that. worry a lot. as you grow up you realise you have so many things to worry about. and you miss the days when you were a kid without a single worry in the world.

although not a holiday. i think my experience back home was truly. truly. great.
the people. the food. my family. friends. girlfriend. it was all worthwhile.
although the country itself isnt great. this time tommorow i will find myself blogging in a new spot.

i'm gonna miss this place more than i know it. goodbyes are so hard to say.
i think if i could turn back time. i wouldnt have left. but when i grow up i think i would still try to find a way out of this country.

God. please protect my family, girlfriend, friends, and everyone i care for here.

my secret girlfriend

yes! it may come to a surprise to my 0 readers. but i do have a girlfriend despite the fact i might seem like a loser who has nothing better to do in his life than watch anime and make gunpla. and it might also come to a surprise that she is hot! hot! hot!
but yes.
she is a secret. not because she doesn't exist! or im shy about it!

first let me explain.
growing up in malaysia. if you are not familiar with it it's not worth knowing anyway. well asian parents in malaysia are really damn conservative. i'm at an age old enough to do anything legally anywhere in the world. but my mom still does not approve me of having a girlfriend and scorns at the idea. zzz
since only one of my parents has fully asian blood i only hear one of my parents complain about me having a relationship.
but unfortunately for my girlfriend she hears both sides of the story. she's pretty much not even allowed to date. imagine if her parents found out she was in a relationship! you might be asking yourself "what kind of parents won't let they're child even date". the answer is. probably conservative asian parents whose child is young.

not my fault she's young! i cant help to fall for cute innocent girl-next-door looks who has the heart of an angel. which i might have corrupted slightly. she's pretty mature for her age and i'm pretty childish for mine so we're totally compatible. there's pretty much nothing in the world i would change about her. she's got a pretty laugh, pretty smile, pretty looks, great sense of humour, good fashion sense, kind hearted, etc etc. the list can just go on. i love her just the way she is :) maybe make her a little older so that her parents would let her date. haha.

i would like to show you all a picture of her. but shes a secret, and i'm pretty sure she'd get mad at me for putting a picture of her. she'll complain it doesnt look good and she's not photogenic or something.

the best things in life are kept secret anyway right?
