torchlight

Princeton defines the torchlight as light from a torch, (click it if you don't believe). wow right? You'd think Princeton would come up with something better than a definition a 5 year old would have come up with.

But alas, i will not be talking about a light from a torch, but in fact i'll be talking about a town called torchlight. in fact. it's overrunned with demons. or something like that. This would be, in fact, a game review! dun dun dun. (inserts epic sound effects)

Torchlight would be your classic click dungeon RPG. very much like diablo. The game isn't big in size, or needs very much graphics, but it will in fact gives you hours of fun!

Just like any other dungeon RPG game, you enter a dungeon, and you proceed deeeper and deeeeeeeeper. There of course comes a point where you stop and think to yourself, why am i proceeding deeper? its way much more safer closer to town but thats up to you users i guess if you want to know or not what happens in the end.

OK, lets start with the basics. Being a small game you don't get much options, you can start off as a mage, warrior, or trapper. You get to choose from three pets, a dog, a cat, and a ferret. I went with the warrior, cause i'm a fighter. I like going at things head on, less talk more action! no brains, all brawn.

Let's take a look at my character ( this is of course, in it's final glory, after i completed the whole game, i wouldn't want to look like a noob to my fans!)

Marvelous isn't it! I've actually added some skills, as you can see i have a bright blue forcefield and some kind of phantasm guardian angel on my shoulder. My cat minion is by my side. If you can see it, there's your typical HP and Mana bar, and you have 10 slots for quick skills, spells, potions, and what not. Theres also this handy one when you can slot a skill with the right click on the mouse!

Fight Scene! Everyone loves a good one, and here is me taking down some high level dwarfs! and zombies for that matter. As you can see, the graphics are pretty cartoonish, but that doesn't bother me. And if you play it, it wouldn't you too!

Here are your stats and the inventory. There's also the skills and pet inventory, but those aren't really important for now. Whats important is you check out my heavy artillery dual weapons. oh yea. bad boy. For the ladies, you're character can have 2 rings and a necklace! If you would now look at the left. Underneath the name Perau, i've reached the rank of unattainable, which is of course. the highest rank possible in the game. no other ranks after, the rank before was demigod. Check out the high numbers in the strength and defence. i do 108% extra damage with a melee weapon. if that ain't bad i don't know what is!

Overall the game is great. Good fun to kill the time. Can get a little repetitive at times but thats why you don't play it for hours to an end! If you're looking for an adventure. I would certainly most definitely recommend this to you.
